TobyMac, Skillet to Highlight 'Hallelujah Jubilee' at Magic Mountain

Christian music artist TobyMac and rock band Skillet will be performing tonight during an event catered for Christians at the Six Flags Magic Mountain Park in Valencia, Calif., north of Los Angeles.

LOS ANGELES – Christian music artist TobyMac and rock band Skillet will be performing tonight during an event catered for Christians at the Six Flags Magic Mountain Park in Valencia, Calif., north of Los Angeles.

Performances for “Hallelujah Jubilee” by Skillet and TobyMac will be held at Magic Mountain’s Golden Bear Theatre at 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., respectively. There will also be performances by Matthew West, Shawn McDonald and Paul Wright held at the Magic Moments Theatre.

“Six Flags Magic Mountain caters to Christian music fans on Friday, Sept. 23, 2005, when the Xtreme Park hosts Hallelujah Jubilee,” the world’s largest regional theme park company announced in its website. “Festivities include powerful performances by the biggest acts in Christian music and use of exciting theme park attractions. Hallelujah Jubilee at Six Flags Magic Mountain is a ‘can't miss’ concert event of fellowship and fun.”

Among the groups joining the event will be the nation's largest faith-based cheerleading organization.

Comprised of over 500 Christian camps and clinics in the United States and recently Czech Republic and Russia, the Fellowship of Christian Cheerleaders (FCC) will participate in Hallelujah Jubilee as part of their California Conference, which begins today and ends tomorrow. FCC will be holding sessions on servant leadership and team building during the conference.

On Sept. 24, Six Flags Magic Mountain will be hosting another Christian event, WEST, a rally and concert for Calvary Chapel youth groups. The event will begin at 7 p.m. at the Golden Bear Theatre and features speaker Pastor Garid Beeler of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. The concert will include performances by Abide, Zero Theory and Shachah.

Both events Hallellujah Jubilee and WEST are free with paid park admission for that day.
