Prior to the match against Germany, Griezmann also scored 2 goals against the Republic of Ireland in a 2-1 win during the Round of 16.

He scored one goal each against Albania during the group stage, and against Iceland during the quarterfinals.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) – 3 goals

After scoring the only goal of the game that knocked off Gareth Bale and Wales from the tournament, Portugal captain and Ballon D'Or candidate Cristiano Ronaldo

He and former French captain Michel Platini now hold the record for the most goals sored in the tournament with 9. The tournament also saw Ronaldo become the first and only player to score in 4 European championships.

What's even more amazing is that all his goals have come from headers.

A goal by Ronaldo against France in the final will see the Real Madrid superstar take the record outright.

Gareth Bale (Wales) – 3 goals - Eliminated

Bale was superb throughout the tournament, leading Bales into the semi-final before falling to Portugal 0-2.

A highly-touted match-up between Real Madrid teammates Cristiano Ronaldo and Bale saw the Portuguese captain come out on top.

Bale started strong, even sending a cross that threatened to put Wales ahead. But the two goals from Ronaldo and Nani could not be overcome, and the Wales team was limited to just 2 attempts in the second half.

Nani (Portugal) – 3 goals

The Portuguese winger for Valencia scored his latest goal against Wales on a set-up by Ronaldo. His two other goals came in a 1-1 draw against Iceland during the group stages, and in a 3-3 draw against Hungary, also in group stage play.

Since making his debut with the senior national team in 2006, Nani has appeared in 102 international tournaments, making him Portugal's 4th most capped player of all time.

Oliver Giroud and Dimitri Payet (France) – 3 goals

Since scoring 2 goals against Iceland in a 5-2 win, Giroud has been quiet. However, the French striker is still dangerous on the field, and should never be discounted by Germany when the hosts face them in the final.

Dimitri Payet has been excellent for France during the Euro 2016, scoring 3 of his 6 international goals during the tournament. Blessed with "terrific technique and dribbling skills", his set-ups have created scoring opportunities for Giroud and Griezmann. He was named man of the match in their 2-0 win against Albania.

Alvaro Morata (Spain) – 3 goals - Eliminated

The Real Madrid striker has scored 3 of Spain's 5 goals in Euro 2016. Morata put on a fine performance against Turkey, scoring 2 goals to give them a 3-0 win. He again scored for the Spanish side in a losing effort against Croatia, 2-1.
