Tottenham Hotspurs (Spurs) vs Aston Villa Live Stream: Watch Online English Premier League Football

Aston Villa hosts Tottenham at Villa Park on Wednesday during a full day of Premier League matches on Boxing Day.

For Aston Villa and manager Paul Lambert they will do well to forget the 8-0 thrashing by Chelsea on Sunday and will hope to regain their winning form when Spurs take the pitch.

The record defeat at Stamford Bridge, where seven different players scored in a Premier League match for Chelsea, ended a five-game unbeaten streak in league play. Recent history is not in Villa's side, however, as the club has won only one of their last seven meetings against Spurs at Villa Park.

The club will have to overcome some key injuries if they are to come away with full points as Aston Villa captain Ron Vlaar is doubtful with a calf injury.

Gabriel Agbonlahor and Charles Nzogbia will likely not start as they did not train with the club leading up to the match. And striker Darren Bent is again ruled out with a hamstring injury while center-back Richard Dunne will be out long-term after a third groin operation.

For Tottenham and manager Andre Villa-boas they will look to come off a frustrating draw with Stoke on Saturday and will be hopeful to gain points as they are currently only three points clear of the top four.

Forward Clint Dempsey is a doubt for Tottenham after he missed Saturday's match against Stoke with a groin problem.

On a positive note Benoit Assou-Ekotto may make the start after his long absence due to a knee injury. Scott Parker could also make his first start of the season after coming off the bench in the last two games following an Achilles injury. Unfortunately, Younes Kaboul is not expected to be fully healthy until next month.

It seems that recent history is on Tottenham's side as the Spurs are unbeaten in their last eight matches against Aston Villa.

Kick-off for the match is at 12:30 ET and can be watched online here.
