Toyota Prius 2016 vs Honda Civic 2016: Features that Make the Two Stand Out

As the Christmas season nears, potential car owners are looking forward to new cars that will release by the start of 2016, and the two models that made it to the top list of most-anticipated autos are the Toyota Prius 2016 and the Honda Civic 2016.

Carrying two of the world's biggest automaker names, it doesn't come as a surprise that the two models have become very interesting to those who are planning to buy new cars for the new year.

One of the more important factors that affects the decision of wise car buyers is the engine. The Toyota Prius 2016 will sport a 1.8-liter internal combustion, Atkinson-cycle engine. This specific type of engine, as said earlier by Toyota, offers 40 percent more thermal efficiency while at work in certain conditions, compared to other autos.

This means the car can be very useful in unexpected incidents that require the need for a reliable engine at hand.

The 2016 model from Toyota not only offers an improved driving experience with its engine but because it will come as an electric all-wheel drive, it surely is one model that could pass up for a luxury car.

Meanwhile, the Honda Civic 2016 is said to come with two different engines. One of the engines will be a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine powered with Honda's i-VTEC variable valve timing system. Buyers can choose from either a continuously variable transmission (CVT) automatic option or a six-speed manual one.

The second engine boasted by Honda is more likely the one that most buyers won't opt for. This is because it gives buyers with no choice but to go with the automatic transmission.

Some of the more interesting features from Honda is the addition of entertainment systems such as a new Display Auto System, the Android Auto, and Apple's CarPlay. This gives drivers a driving trip like no other.

Both companies are expected to release other details in the coming weeks before 2016 so potential buyers are encouraged to keep their minds open and choose wisely.
