Trista Sutter Reveals Valentine's Day Plans - Spending Day Without Ryan

Trista and Ryan Sutter have been married for 10 years after meeting on "The Bachelorette" and recently spoke about how they made their marriage work. Now, on Valentine's Day, Trista is speaking out about her past history with the holiday and how she is "happier than ever" with Ryan and her children.

"Oh, gosh, I've lived a lot of Valentine's Days by myself and wanting someone like Ryan in my life. I can't remember one in particular that was horrible, but I do know that I had been alone on Valentine's Day and not been happy a lot on Valentine's Day," Trista told People.

After finally meeting Ryan on the reality series, and actually beating the odds and having a successful relationship, marriage, and family, Trista said she is "happier than ever." The couple has two children, Maxwell and Blakesley, who round out their family. But at the heart of the family is the relationship between Trista and Ryan.

"I think when you wake up in the morning, you know if you're complete. And I think when you lay your head down at night, if your mind isn't wandering and you're not on the verge of tears, then you have a smile on the inside, even if you aren't always smiling," Trista added. "There can always be something around the corner even better for you."

For Trista, it's all about keeping life "open to possibilities. Then crazy things can happen – like falling in love on television." It was a huge risk for Trista and Ryan to appear on the show. Plus, they were one of the few couples to survive the brutality of the competition and the spotlight to go on and have a committed relationship and a happy marriage.

So what is the couple doing to celebrate Valentine's Day?

"I wish it were something romantic and something fun, but Ryan's working, so he'll be at the fire station. I'm hoping to make something fun with the kids and take it to him. And then we're actually going to Disneyland," Trista revealed.
