'True Detective' Season 2 News, Spoilers: What to Expect in 'Night Finds You'?

The brand new season of HBO's hit mystery-thriller TV drama series "True Detective" opens up by introducing three interesting individuals. Fans saw the convergence of Detective Ray Velcro (Colin Farrell), Detective Ani Bezzerides (Rachel McAdams) and Highway Patrolman Paul Woodrugh (Taylor Kitsch) in a case involving a gruesome murder of a Los Angeles city planner.

The synopsis for this week's episode titled "Night Finds You" indicates that Bezzarides and Velcro will push on to uncover the reasons behind the disappearance and death of Ben Caspar. Both would attempt to connect the city manager's demise to his fascination with prostitutes.

Meanwhile, crime boss Frank Semyon (Vince Vaughn) will also embark on an investigation to find out what really happened to his partner, Caspar, whom he had invested a lot of money on for his high speed rail development project.

A promo teaser for the upcoming episode reveals that Semyon might not have the patience of a saint to wait for the authorities to uncover the crime. Fearing that his huge-scale transportation project might vanish for nothing, the businessman is in an urgency to get his invested money back. Could he trust Velcro on this?

Those who were able to catch the premiere may have already known that the corrupt police officer is under the payroll of the mafia man. This situation would likely to create some problems in the development on the Caspar investigation.

"How compromised are you?" the tough detective from the Ventura County Sheriff Office asked Velcro in the video.

The official synopsis for this weekend's episode reads:

"Ben Caspar's autopsy reveals the gruesome details of his demise, and Ray and Ani wonder if it has anything to do with his fondness for prostitutes. Meanwhile, Frank looks into what might have happened to his missing fortune."

"True Detective" Season 2 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on HBO.
