Tsunami Benefit Concert Raises $50,000
More than $50,000 was raised at the Nashville benefit concert "An Evening for Restoration: Music City Comes Together for Tsunami Relief."
Top Christian artists joined for a live show on Jan. 26 to gather funds for the victims of the tsunami disaster. The collected money was directed toward the international relief agency World Vision for recovery efforts in South Asia.
Serving as an initiative of Project Restore, the concert helped raise awareness on ways the music community and its fans can participate in contributing to tsunami relief efforts.

Some $27,000 in donations were given by the live audience, and TV viewers and radio listeners at home also gave generously.
World Vision has committed to reaching $100 million in aid for the South Asia disaster -- the largest single pledge in their 54-year history.
