Two Amazing 90-Year Olds Race in a Sprint; Remind Us Age is Just a Number (VIDEO)
Before we behold the superhuman physical feats on snow and ice in the upcoming Sochi Winter Olympics, let's remember that athletes come in all ages. Just look at this event from the March 2013 European Veteran Athletics Championships held in San Sebastian, Spain.
In this video, 95-year-old Ilmari Koppinen lines up against a younger opponent in Emiel Pauwels, 94, to compete in the 60-meter dash. After the starting gun, it looks like the elder Koppinen is going to put Pauwels in his place, but the youngster roars back to make a race of it as they approach the finish line.
