Ubisoft Unveils Live-Action Trailer for Upcoming 'Assassin's Creed: Origins' Game

A new live-action trailer for "Assassin's Creed: Origins" has been unveiled by Ubisoft.

As VG247 points out, Ubisoft often releases live-action trailers to promote its upcoming titles. However, many fans noticed that the developer upped the ante for "Origins" based on how the game's story was told.

The trailer shows off several ways players can assassinate their enemies. Being the tenth installment in the hit video game franchise, "Origins" takes players back to the game's ancient Egypt setting. Users take on the role of Bayek, an assassin who is accompanied by an eagle.

Bayek will be able to travel through camelback and horseback as he embarks on a mission to end the corrupt Order of the Ancients. Aside from featuring an open-world environment, the game will also explore the return of naval combat — a complex affair that was considered as one of the highlights in "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag."

Directed by Daniel Wolfe, the promotional video also offers an idea of how "Origins" might conclude. Everyone rises up to kill the rulers, and those who work closely with the rulers use their proximity to assassinate leading figures in the history of ancient Egypt.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft is celebrating the upcoming launch of "Origins" with a line of rare Yeezy sneakers. Only 16 pairs of trainers, designed in collaboration with famed sneaker artist Dominic Lowman, will be produced all over the world.

Two color schemes are available: one white and one black. In a press release, Ubisoft clarified that none will be made to purchase. All 16 pairs will instead be available in giveaways, which makes them even more special.  "Details will be announced across Ubisoft and partner social media channels shortly," the developer stated.

Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, "Assassin's Creed: Origins" drops on Friday, Oct. 27, on PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One.
