UFC 161 takes place on Saturday night with some key battles in the world of the Ultimate Fighting Championship set to face off. The action can be watched online through live stream free (details below).
There will be various fights taking place tonight and here is a round up of the top action for UFC fans to keep up with.
Pat Barry vs. Shawn Jordan will see a former pro kickboxer in Barry take on a former Division 1 football player for LSU in Jordan. Barry is known for his fierce leg kicks and he will be looking to take down Jordan with those tonight. Meanwhile, Jordan is one of the top athletes in the UFC game, and he is amazingly athletic considering the size of the man. This match up should be a fierce and exciting one for fans to watch.
Tonight's bouts will also see Alexis Davis take on Rosi Sexton. Sexton is coming into the fight in good form having won her last three straight match ups, and Davis will also be confident having won her last two bouts. This should be a good fight, with Sexton fighting in her natural weight class of 135 pounds, where as Davis has jumped up in weight to challenge her. Davis will be the big favorite for the win though.
Ryan Jimmo vs. Igor Pokrajac is another fight tonight, which should also prove exciting, but most pundits will have penciled in Jimmo as the clear winner of this one.
Roy Nelson vs. Stipe Miocic will see one of the most popular fighters in UFC in Nelson take to the ring for the simple reason his fights are always explosive and exciting. All of Nelson's wins in UFC have come through knock outs and technical knock outs, and all but one has come inside the first round.
Rashad Evans vs. Dan Henderson should be pure entertainment, with Henderson being another fan favorite, taking on one of the most disliked fighters in UFC in Evans. Both fighters are extremely strong with enough power to finish a match up at any moment. Expect fireworks in this one.
