UFC 173 takes place on Saturday night with a main fight between Renan Barao and TJ Dillashaw. The two fighters will be competing for the Bantamweight title, and between them they have only ever lost three fights in total. This should be a top fight with some fireworks between the pair. UFC 173 will see the Main Card start at 10 p.m. ET and feature five big fights. A full fight card list can be seen below and the action can be watched online through live stream (details below).
Not many expect TJ Dillashaw to be able to win this fight, but he doesn't seem to care. He has embraced the role of massive underdog for this fight and seems to be enjoying not have any weight of expectation upon him. That could make him a bit more dangerous than most as he has nothing to lose and will just go for it, in an attempt to shock all his doubters. If it all goes wrong then he will have lost nothing.
Renan Barao has been built up as an almost invincible fighter for this contest. He has won 32 consecutive fights coming into this bout, and has not lost since way back in 2005, nearly a decade ago.
Despite the fight being built up almost as if Dillashaw is being sent out as a sheep among the wolves, he has tried to embrace the role and take everything in his stride.
"I have to embrace it. It's all over the place. Not only is he the champion, he has the longest win streak in history. I see him as the pound-for-pound best because of that winning streak," he told ESPN.
However, he also added, "Everybody has a day when they're going to lose, though. Renan Barao has one."
