With the excitement generated by the upcoming "Street Fighter V" rumored to be released on the first or second quarter of 2016, Sony has funded the launch of the fourth installment of the game for PS 4, said to be the last release of "Ultra Street Fighter IV" to pave the way for the fifth one in the franchise.

The PS 4 update, which will be made available via digital download, will include fixes for the input lag that plagued the PlayStation 3 version of "Ultra Street Fighter IV," resulting in poor frame rates. When the new version for PS 4 is launched, players will not have to worry about being five microseconds behind when they count their pixels and pro-fighters.

The franchise's PlayStation exclusivity marks Sony's plan to push the PS 4 as the ultimate platform of choice for most, if not all fighting games in the market today. According to reports published on LazyGamer.net, "Street Fighter V" will be releasing a PC version which is geared at allowing cross platform play with its PS 4 version.

Capcom has yet to release word on whether an Xbox or Wii U version of the game is forthcoming, but the PS 4 digital version will be available for $24.99 at PSN on its launch next month.
