'Uncharted: The Lost Legacy' News: Different Combat Scenarios and Weapons Detailed Further By Developers

Additional details related to the characters to be featured and not featured in 'Uncharted: The Lost Legacy' also revealed

In "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy," developers are attempting to carve out a slightly different path for the series, with new characters stepping into the spotlight. However, the changes go beyond just that.

Combat will also be handled differently in "The Lost Legacy," and developers recently revealed more details about how those familiar battles may change.

In a new post on the PlayStation Blog, the folks from Naughty Dog talked about the new combat elements that are set to be featured in the story expansion. For example, players will now be able to use a pistol outfitted with a silencer when they need to work their way through areas where a quiet approach is needed.

If being quiet is not a requirement then players may be able to take on enemies using other, unsilenced weapons, and they will even be able to use C4 to bring about some destruction.

Interestingly, it appears that there may even be times in "The Lost Legacy" when it will be possible for players to bypass battles completely. According to game director Kurt Margenau, "there are entire combat setups that you can skip, go around, or approach from any direction," giving players more control over how they will tackle the challenges in the expansion.

Developers also revealed more about how the stars of "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy" – Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross – will interact with each other, revealing that they are "reluctant partners."

Still, even if they may not be the best of friends, Chloe and Nadine will have to work together if they are to accomplish their goals and also overcome the challenges presented to them by the antagonist Asav.

One last thing, fans hoping that Nathan Drake may make a surprising appearance in the story expansion may want to adjust their expectations, as developers have indicated that he may be sitting this one out.

An exact release date for "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy" has not been announced yet, though it is expected to be made available later this year.
