'Under the Dome' Season 3 Back to Back Premiere Episodes Will Answer the Central Questions of the Show
The wait is finally over. In the hours to come, CBS' hit supernatural TV drama series, "Under the Dome," will open its brand new third season with a two-hour premiere titled "Move On" and "But I'm Not."
Executive producer Neal Baer talked about Season 3 which, according to him, will answer some of the central questions that fans have been so eager to get answered.
"Season three is more like season two, because it's more chilling and horrifying, scarier, spookier," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "It's also the season where we do tell you — and we promise to tell you — why the dome came down and who or what's behind it."

Followers also need to be wary that explaining the origins will definitely "bring more questions, more mythology," as the executive producer and the rest of the team behind the show wanted to keep the Stephen King novel adaptation going on.
"I'd like to keep it going. Our intentions are to tell a great story every summer for as long as the audience wants to watch the citizens of Chester's Mill," the showrunner went on to explain.
There are also a handful of new characters coming to the show. In a report from TV Guide, it was revealed that actor Eriq La Salle will come aboard as a man named Martin, Don's (Brett Cullen) boss at Aktaion Energy. Also slated to appear is actress Marg Helgenberger who plays the character of Christine Pike, "an anthropologist who was looking for the egg."
The show will also introduce Paul McCrane's Patrick, "a scientist who will play a major role in Aktaion-related flashbacks involving La Salle's character."
A synopsis for the upcoming special episodes was posted over at the Futon Critic and it reads:
"The residents of Chester's Mill appear both inside and outside the Dome following their mysterious encounter in the tunnels beneath the town. As the Dome begins to reveal its ultimate agenda, the townspeople are forced to question what and whom they can trust as fresh threats appear, new residents emerge and surprising alliances form."
"Under the Dome" Season 3 airs Thursdays, at 9 p.m., on CBS.
