'Under the Dome' Season 3 News: Photos for Opening Episodes Released by CBS

CBS recently released a host of snap photos taken from the first few opening episodes of the upcoming third season of its hit supernatural TV drama series "Under the Dome."

A report from KSite TV indicated that the opening segments for Season 3 would include titles like "Redux," "Move On," and "The Kinship."

The TV scoop outlet further shared the images on their website where it featured the townsfolk of Chester's Mill who seemed to be making their way into the forest and probably out from the enclosure.

Highlighted in the pictures are the main characters like James "Big Jim" Rennie (played by Dean Norris), Christine Price (guest star Marg Helgenberg), who is seen talking to Junior (Alexander Koch), "Barbie" (Mike Vogel) leading a group of people which includes Norrie (Mackenzie Lintz), Carolyn (Aisha Hinds) Joe McAlister (Colin Ford) and more others.

Barbie's love interest, Julia Shumway (Rachelle Lefevre) is also featured in one of the images.

"Under the Dome" is based on Stephen King's best-selling novel of the same name which "tells the story of a small town that is suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome."

"It's been two weeks since the dome descended upon the sleepy town of Chester's Mill, whose inhabitants are still struggling to survive with resources running low as their search for answers to what the barrier is and where it came from continues," the summary reads. "The post-apocalyptic conditions intensify while the residents must decide who to rally behind as new faces emerge and Big Jim continues to battle for the town's trust and allegiance. With survival hanging in the balance, can the residents of Chester's Mill work together to protect their uncertain future?"

"Under the Dome" begins its third season on Thursday, June 25, on CBS.
