'Unreal' season 2 spoilers: Might flip 'Everlasting;' Rachel and Quinn become the primary love story

Last season, the hit Lifetime series "Unreal" ended in the most astonishing, surprising, and jaw-dropping way as Adam was left at the altar by Anna, while Rachel was unceremoniously dumped and humiliated by Jeremy. In the meantime, Quinn ended things with Chet and talked to Rachel about her plans for the next show.

In the upcoming season, fans will still most likely see another season of "Everlasting" but in a more tropical setting. Instead of a bachelor, there will be a bachelorette with male suitors — sounds like a winning combination. The new season will delve further into the complex relationship of Quinn and Rachel. The season starts with them being flipped out about love.

Executive producer Shapiro said, "Marti and I have always talked about how Rachel and Quinn are the primary relationship in this show. They're the love story, they're everything. That scene of them in bed together is really one of the most important scenes. As Marti and I are talking about our journeys as women in this industry and as creative people in this industry, these relationships like these creative relationships." Marti Nixon had a casting suggestion for the writers saying that they should make Faith, the lesbian character, the next suitor. However, it would seem that Anna might become the next suitor as making guys create drama is far more challenging and it will create a different dynamic in the forthcoming season.

The creators of the show teased the possibility of Adam's return in season 2, even though he was the bachelor in the previous season. "Freddie didn't know that we were considering bringing him back for season 2, so he answered in interviews that he wasn't coming back because we haven't officially picked up his contract," said Sarah Gertrude Shapiro, the executive producer. "But I actually called him [and said], 'Hey, do you mind just leaving it open, because we actually are sort of talking about it. If you're open to it, we'd like to talk about it.' So the door's definitely open for Adam to make an appearance again," she added.

So, fans might get to see Adam pursue Rachel again and since he is no longer the suitor, he and Rachel can live happily ever after barring interference from Jeremy and anyone else.

The new season has many options to choose from, and fans can't wait to see what the producers do next time. The series will most likely air late next year.
