Upcoming Android Phones 2015: Meizu's Upcoming Flagship Appears in GFXBench, Confirms 5.5-Inch 1080p Display, 20MP Camera, 3GB RAM

The unannounced Meizu MX5 flagship has been in the rumor mill for quite some time, and a lot of Android fans are already interested in seeing the device up close.

While the device already has an alleged announcement date on June 30, rumored features and specs continue to leak online. This time, the Android-powered device made an appearance in a benchmarking app showing some more of its specs.

According to a report by Phone Arena, the Meizu MX5 has allegedly been tested in GFXBench, disclosing some of the basic specs of the device. In the report, the smartphone packs a 5.5-inch display with a Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 3GB of RAM and an octa-core CPU clocked at 2.1GHz.

The device allegedly runs on a MediaTek MT-6795T chipset that supports 64-bit applications, and a PowerVR G6200 GPU for graphics processing. Other specs include a 16GB built-in memory, expectedly with a microSD card slot, and Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

The camera department boasts a 20MP primary camera and a 5MP front shooter for selfies. Rounding up the specs based on the benchmarking app is the 3,150mAh battery which should be enough to power the device for an entire day.

In addition, some rumored specs of the Meizu MX5 include a fingerprint scanner embedded in its home button, an all-metal case, and a very affordable price tag of only $290.
