Upcoming Android Phones 2015: New Oppo Handset to Boast Stylish Back Cover, Slim Chassis
Oppo may not be the most popular smartphone manufacturer in China, but it definitely is trying its best to be recognized. After releasing a few high-end devices, and a number of midrangers this year, the Chinese manufacturer is reportedly working on another handset.
According to a report by Phone Arena, the device, which is tipped to arrive with midrange specs, will sport a stylish back plate, similar to Oppo R1x/R1c, which were both launched earlier this year.
Dubbed as the Oppo Mirror 5, the Android-powered smartphone will also showcase some decent specs such as HD (1280 x 720) resolution, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in memory, and two versions -- a 3G only edition, and one that supports 4G LTE.
Other rumored specs include a 5MP front camera, and Android 5.0 Lollipop, skinned by Oppo's very own Color OS.
Unfortunately, there are still no details about the screen size, the primary camera, and other features and specs.
In the report, the Oppo Mirror 5 is expected to hit the Taiwanese market, and probably China as well, later this month. However, it would not be surprising if the device will hit the said markets in July instead.
With the specs mentioned, Oppo better place a reasonable price tag for the device. In a market where pricing is a high consideration among consumers, Oppo should not miss that important detail.
