Upcoming LG Phones 2015: G Stylo Now Offered by Sprint in the US

The LG G Stylo is not necessarily a new smartphone compared to other brands in the market today, but the U.S. carrier has decided to begin offering it to its subscribers.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the network provider has launched the device and is selling it off-contract for $288. In addition, the LG-made smartphone can also be availed through Sprint's MVNO subsidiary Boost Mobile.

Those who want to get the device with $0 down payment will need to pay $12 a month for 24 months, or get it at $49.99 with a two-year plan.

So does the price justify the smartphone's specs? Not much.

The LG G Stylo is somewhat in the middle of the entry-level and midrange groups, with some features and specs coming from both.

The Android-powered smartphone comes with a massive 5.7-inch IPS display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution, 1GB of RAM, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset.

Other specs include an 8GB built-in memory, which thankfully can be expanded through the provided microSD card slot, and there's an 8MP primary camera.

The phone comes with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop, although it is not yet certain whether both LG and Sprint would work on succeeding updates considering the device's semi midrange status.

Aside from the G Style, LG has other upcoming smartphones that have been in the rumor mill for quite some time. Some of these devices include the LG G4 Pro, and even a G5.
