Upcoming LG Phones 2015: LG Unveils Entry-Level Handset With Midrange Price Tag
LG may not be among the top smartphone manufacturers in India, but it sure does want to get a decent slice of the market pie. And so while the Korean manufacturer has already unveiled a number of high-end devices this year, it still has not abandoned the entry-level market.
According to a recent report by GSM Arena, the Korean-based company has just announced a brand new device for the Indian market. Dubbed as the LG Max, the Android-powered smartphone is an entry-level device that is aimed at the mass market.
In the report, the LG Max packs some simple but decent specs which include a 5-inch display with a 854 x 480 resolution, a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.3GHz, 1GB of RAM, an 8GB built-in memory, and a microSD card slot.

Other features include an 8MP primary camera, a 5MP front shooter that has its own front LED flash, Gesture Shot, and a 2,540mAh battery. The phone runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box, and supports two SIM cards. The phone does not offer 4G LTE, and it comes in several color options white, titan, and gold.
Unfortunately, in spite the LG Max's very simple specs and features, the Korean manufacturer still provided a pretty steep price tag. In the report, the Android-powered handset will be priced at around $172.
