Upcoming Samsung Phones 2015: New Budget Phone Coming Soon for About $225

Samsung continues to saturate the market with more of its budget devices. Now, the Korean manufacturer is rumored to launch a new device that serves as a budget version of an already existing smartphone.

According to a report by GSM Arena, Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Grand Prime Value Edition, which is supposedly a cheaper version of another Android phone with a similar name.

In the report, the smartphone will pack some pretty entry-level specs, including a 5-inch display with qHD or 960 x 540 resolution, 1GB of RAM, a quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU, and a new chipset, Marvell PXA1908, as well as GC7000 GPU. In comparison, the original Galaxy Grand Prime has a Snapdragon 410 chipset and an Adreno GPU.

Other features include LTE Cat.54, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC, which are all present in the original version.

Meanwhile, the device also comes with an 8MP primary camera and a 5MP selfie shooter, 2,600mAh battery, and Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

Unfortunately, concerning its pricing, which supposedly is cheaper than the original, the new Samsung smartphone may be missing something.

In the report, the Galaxy Grand Prime Value Edition costs $225 or about 200 euros. The original version was priced at 230 euros or around $260, which should be okay. However, the original just had a price cut, and now it only costs 180 euros, or around $200.
