Dawn Harper for Women's 100m Hurdles

A highly-anticipated event, the women's 100m hurdles will feature 2008 Beijing Olympics gold medalist Dawn Harper, and 2013 world champion and American record holder Briana Rollins. Olympian Nia Ali, after giving birth, has returned to action and will also be participating in the event.

Kendra Harrison, the 2015 NCAA champion, will make a case for herself after she beat Queen Harrison earlier this year at the Stockholm Diamond League. Popular figure Lolo Jones is not included in the participants, citing hip surgery done last November. Jones was the favorite to win the event 8 years ago in Beijing, but tripped at the second to the last hurdle.

The women's 400m hurdles will feature American record holder Lashinda Demus, Georganne Moline, the runner-up at the 2012 Olympic trials, 2015 World championship bronze medalist Cassandra Tate and 2015 World championship silver medalist Shamier Little.

400m Men's Hurdles Contenders

No longer dominated by the Americans, the men's 400m hurdles will still feature big names in the event. Headlined by 2012 Olympic silver medalist Michael Tinsley, he will be joined by Jeshua Anderson, the 2011 national champion and veteran Bershawn Jackson.

The men's 1500m will feature Olympian Matt Centrowitz, 2012 Olympic trials champion Leo Manzano and World Championship veteran Robby Andrews. Centrowitz had a remarkable journey to the Olympics four years ago, recovering just in time from knee surgery to places second at that year's trials.

The men's 3000m steeplechase final will feature the current American record holder Evan Jager and Bowerman Track Club teammates Andrew Bayer and Daniel Huling. They will be joined by Donn Cabral, who had the fastest time of 8:26.96 and Isaac Updike.

As of press time, the first round of the men's and women's 400m hurdles, men's 1500m and women's 100m hurdles are being held.
