The U.S. Open 2012 tennis tournament continues on Thursday with second round matches scheduled to be completed. The action from New York can be watched online through live stream (details below).

In the men's tournament, Mardy Fish will play Nikolay Davydenko from 1 p.m. ET. That match will be followed by some of the top action from the women's tournament as Serena Williams takes on Spain's Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez. Other big matches scheduled for Thursday include Roger Federer vs. Bjorn Phau, which has been scheduled to take place from 7 p.m. ET, which will be followed by Venus Williams in a tough test against Germany's Angelique Kerber.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will also be in action on Thursday in his match against Slovakia's Martin Klizan. Also Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland is up against Spain's Carla Suarez Navarro.

Jack Sock has been drawn to play Italian Flavio Cipolla on Court 17 at approximately 1 p.m. ET. Following that game he will also be in action in the first round of the mixed doubles tournament later on Thursday. He will be playing with partner Melanie Oudin against Katarina Srebotnik and Nenad Zimonjic at about 5 p.m. ET.

Meanwhile Britain's Laura Robson beat the former world number one Kim Clijsters 7-6 (7-4) 7-6 (7-5) to go through to a third-round tie against Li Na.

Clijsters was hoping to win her final singles event before retirement, but ended up on the wrong end of a shock defeat by Robson.

"It's sad that it was her last match because I feel like she is still one of the best players in the world," said the 18-year-old Robson. "She is someone I looked up to since I joined the senior tour. She has brought so much to female tennis, so it's tough she is going to retire. I wish her all the best."

"I've always been working on my movement. It's something I can still improve a lot. I'm putting a lot of work into it," Robson said. "I'm getting more confident. I feel I can get to one extra ball every time and put more pressure on my opponent."

Clijsters was chasing her fourth title in New York, where she last lost in 2003.
