USA vs Paraguay 2016 Copa America Preview: Clint Dempsey and Team USA Aiming for Spot in Quarterfinals; Roster, Game Time, TV Info, Tickets and Livestream

US Teams Hopes to Beat Paraguay or Secure a Draw to Reach Quarterfinals

The US team is one win away from qualifying for the Copa America Centenario quarterfinals and they need to make sure they snatch the victory for Saturday's game versus Paraguay.

Hoping to move forward to the next round of the tournament, the U.S. team is looking to defeat their opponent or secure a draw. The Group A game starts at 7 p.m. at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

A win on Saturday will also advance the chances of the U.S. team to bag the Group A title for the Copa America Centenario. This will be possible if Colombia will lose versus Costa Rica for their upcoming game.

However, losing the upcoming match is bad news for Team USA as Paraguay will be the one to advance after they get rid of the Americans from the football tournament.

If Paraguay lives up to its name of being the "worst team" for Group A, USA will certainly claim victory on Saturday. For their past games in the competition, it was observed that Paraguay has great players on its team but it does not have one individual who stands out.

Paraguay's head coach Ramon Diaz would likely field some of his best men in the team like defender Paulo Da Silva, centerback Toluca and striker Dario Lezcano to help the team get past their American opponents.

Aside from these players, Diaz still has some great choices for his lineup including goalkeepers Diego Barreto and Justo Villar as well as defenders Fabian Balbuena, Blas Riveros and Gustavo Gomez. As for the midfielders, Paraguay has Miguel Almiron and Celso Ortiz while Edgar and Jorge Benitez are among the forwards of the team.

On the other hand, the US team will count on Jermaine Jones, Clint Dempsey and Bobby Wood to score goals on game night, Bleacher Report said. These players were successful in outplaying Costa Rica during their previous match. USA was predicted by the same report to win the match with a 1-0 standing.

Some reports suggest the USA Team's head coach could try to make maintain the momentum of the team for the upcoming match. Changes in the lineup may not be expected since the US is on the verge of making it to the quarterfinals.

Saturday's matchup can be witnessed live at the Lincoln Financial Field with tickets sold for $93 to $300 each. It will also be shown on television via Fox Sports 1, Univision and UDN. Livestreaming is also available through this link.
