However, Sacramento have a relatively healthy advantage over the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers who are fourth and fifth, respectively, in the rankings.
On the other hand, the Jazz may be second in the Northwest Division, but they are well behind current leaders the Oklahoma City Thunder. Despite their place, their below .500 mark shows how much the rest of the division is struggling. Below them are the Portland Trail Blazers, Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves who are also looking for some life to improve their rankings.
Sacramento and Utah have met once earlier in the contest and are scheduled to clash again another time following this coming match-up.
In the first meeting, the Kings got off to a double-digit lead after the first quarter and did not look back.
Utah trimmed the lead by five in the second quarter, but failed to continue their run as they allowed Sacramento to score 32 and 28 points in the third and fourth quarter, respectively, to hang on to the lead and consequently a 114-106 victory.
