Vanessa Paradis Reacts to Johnny Depp, Amber Heard's Engagement

Vanessa Paradis, Johnny Depp's former longtime girlfriend, is reportedly "not bitter" about the actor's new engagement to Amber Heard.

Together for 14 years, Paradis and Depp are parents to two children, but the never-married pair ended their relationship in 2011.

Last week, reports confirmed that Depp is set to marry his girlfriend of almost two years, Heard.

Nevertheless, Paradis harbors no hard feelings toward her ex and his new love.

"She's happy," said a source close to the French actress, according to Us Weekly.

"She's not bitter," they added.

The 41-year-old starlet appeared very happy indeed while out in Los Angeles earlier this month. Paradis even surprised fans with a brand new look during the outing- the actress cut her hair into a pixie style and dyed it brown.

Furthermore, the French model is "happy" for Depp and Heard.

"Vanessa wished him happiness," the insider told Us Weekly. "No drama."

Depp and Paradis share a daughter, Lily-Rose, 14, and son Jack, 11.

Meanwhile, reports of Depp's engagement arose last week when Heard was spotted with a ring on her left ring finger.

"The proposal happened a while ago," said a source close to the actress, according to Perez Hilton. "She just didn't wear the ring."

According to other reports, Depp proposed to the 27-year-old actress around the holidays.

"It happened on Christmas Eve," a source close to the couple told Celebuzz.

However, Heard did not immediately have an answer for Depp, who is 23 years her senior.

"Amber really took her time to make up her mind," the source added.

Speculation of the Depp's romance with Heard arose after the 50-year-old actor allegedly bought a horse for his leading lady back in 2011.

However, Heard has remained tight-lipped about Depp from the very start of their relationship, insisting that her personal life be kept separate from her career.

"It's not part of my professional life. I want to be an artist. I don't want to be a celebrity," said the starlet speaking to Flare magazine, presumably of 50-year-old Depp.
