Creator of the best-selling VeggieTales® brand, Big Idea Entertainment LLC, a leading studio and producer of children's and family programming, characters and brands, announced on Monday a partnership with international Christian relief organization Samaritan's Purse, to increase awareness of and assistance for needy children worldwide.

VeggieTales characters Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber were announced as official spokes-characters for Operation Christmas Child, a global children's project of Samaritan's Purse that delivers gift-filled shoeboxes to disadvantaged children. The announcement was made at the official opening ceremony of International Christian Retail Show which concluded in St. Louis, Mo., on Wednesday.
