'Vikings' Season 3 Cast News, Spoilers: Will There Be a Father and Son Face-Off?

History Channel's widely-popular historical drama series "Vikings" is now close to airing its brand new third season and spoiler reports suggest that new events might put a strain between the King of Denmark, Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) and his mighty son, Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig).

A recently released trailer for the upcoming Norsemen drama where it opened with some revealing scenes.

"What sensible man who would not be afraid of a farmer who has made himself a king," a character was quoted as saying, in reference to Ragnar.

The trailer also featured Ragnar's men moving ashore to what appears to be Paris, the fabled impenetrable city.

However, one of the most intriguing parts of the footage is a tense conversation between Ragnar and Bjorn.

"You have the strength of a man but the will of a little girl," Ragnar threw the words to his brave warrior son. "I can't believe you are my son."

The father and son coercion might bring light to what Clive Standen (who plays Ragnar's brother, Rollo) has teased on his Twitter.

"Rollo & Bjorn can learn a lot from each other ... and they will in season 3," he said.

Other than Bjorn, series creator Michael Hirst informed Yahoo! TV that the drama's key players, including Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) and Princess Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) will find themselves in an awful situation.

"Our leads start in a bad place," Hirst said. "They're in dysfunctional relationships of one kind or another and there's a lot of resolving to do."

Meanwhile, TV Line posted in their website a promo summary for "Vikings" Season 3, which will air this Feb. 19, and it reads:

"With the promise of new land from the English, Ragnar leads his people to an uncertain fate on the shores of Wessex. King Ecbert (Linus Roache) has made many promises and it remains to be seen if he will keep them. But ever the restless wanderer, Ragnar is searching for something more ... and he finds it in the mythical city of Paris. Rumored to be impenetrable to outside forces, Ragnar and his band of Norsemen must come together to break down its walls and cement the Vikings legend in history."
