Viva Latin America Conference Will Unite Global YWAM Family

Youth With A Mission (YWAM) will be holding the 2005 Viva Latin America Conference, which combines the YWAM International Staff Conference and the University of the Nations biannual Workshop. The global YWAM staff will be attending this event held in Contagem, Belo Horizonte, Brazil, September 1– 9, 2005.

According to YWAM, this conference will follow the ministry's '50 Days of Prayer and Fasting' - to end on Pentecost, with a great expectation for revival.

"We want to see a new apostolic movement and new beginning for YWAM come out of this global prayer time" John Dawson, YWAM’s president said in the statement. "Our YWAM leadership wants to see the fire of God revealed in Latin America. We want to see Latin America lead out on the strategic pathway of world evangelism. We want YWAM staff from all over the world to come and be renewed with a fresh vision from the Lord."

The Viva Latin America Conference will be led by both the YWAM Global Leadership Team (GLT) and the U of N International Leadership Team (ILT).

YWAM wishes to "wait on the Lord and seek His direction to build bridges to Asia and develop closer relationships," according to the statement.

The conference will focus on "relationships" and the impact of relationships to disciple nations.

Top plenary speakers will be present, including YWAM founder, Loren Cunningham.

The conference will also include a variety of activities and seminars, including a Regional Arts Festival, highlighting performances by artists from different nations.

On the last night, staff will be challenged to "GO" to Asia and beyond during the closing ceremony.
