'Walking Dead' Season 4 Spoilers: 'A Governor Into A Negan'

When hit show "The Walking Dead" returns from its midseason break the show will be in need of a new villain. Will creators turn to the "Walking Dead" comic series for inspiration? For spoilers from show creator Robert Kirkman, read on.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kirkman discussed the possibility of "The Walking Dead" show introducing "The Walking Dead" comic villain Negan.

"Well, there was a lot of breathing room in the comics between them. Whether or not we have the same amount of breathing room, or if we do cut that down a little bit and bring him into the show a little early remains to be seen. But I definitely do think there needs to be some kind of space from a Governor into a Negan. You have to have something of a break in there. So I wouldn't expect him to be showing up -- definitely not in season 4. I don't know. I wouldn't expect it too soon. But we are all very excited about the prospect of bringing that guy into the show. The plan is that we will see him eventually," Kirkman said.

Previously, Kirkman has talked about including comic characters in the show. Earlier this month, when talking to Entertainment Weekly, Kirkman discussed the comic characters Abraham, Eugune, and Rosita joining the show and how they will be introduced.

"I can say that their introduction will be somewhat similar to how they were introduced in the comic, which I think is a very cool thing. I'm always pushing for big changes between the comic and the show, but when there is a good, natural process to adapt things directly, we do that from time to time to keep people guessing, so we will see a bit of that in their introduction," Kirkman explained.

"I think the main thing to look at is that these are some very interesting and dynamic and explosive characters that will be breathing some new life into the show, which is something that all of our new characters do. They're going to be pushing things in new directions. So they will definitely be an X factor that changes the dynamic of the show quite a bit. There's cool things ahead with them," the show creator said.
