'Wayward Pines' News, Spoilers: Executive Producer Chad Hodge Teases Details of Plot 33, Synopsis for 'Betrayal' Revealed
Fans may have already known what is really going on in Fox's hit TV series "Wayward Pines." Revealed by Toby Jones' David Pilcher, it was found out that Ethan (Matt Dillon) is in fact living in the titular town that exists over 2000 years in the future.
Moreover, it was found out that the human race has already mutated, forming into a new, violent human species known as Abbies. Dr. Pilcher has no choice but to "save" the remaining people by placing them in Wayward Pines.
But the mystery of the show doesn't stop there. Elsewhere in town, Theresa (Shannyn Sossamon) discovered a new real estate known only as Plot 33. It is apparently rumoured to be a way which everyone could get back "home."
In an interview with TV Line, executive producer Chad Hodge teases the role of Plot 33 in the development of the show.
"I wouldn't say it's the show's next big mystery, but it's one of them," Hodge told TV Line. "It's a key to the final chapter of Wayward Pines." When will Ethan get a hold of this new information?
Perhaps some answers will be served in this week's upcoming episode titled "Betrayal."
A synopsis posted by the network said that Ethan will find a bomb planted in his car. This raises the question if Ethan can really trust Pilcher or anybody else in town. It is also teased in the promo that Ethan will attempt to tell Kate (Carla Gugino) about what is beyond the Wayward fence.
"Wayward Pines" Season 1 Episode 7 airs Thursday, July 1, at 9 p.m. on Fox.
