Welcome to A Million Hours of Praise

Another global initiative from God's people is now sweeping the whole world, but this time, it's praise: One Million Hours of Praise.

Last month, Christians over the world united their voices in prayer for the first Global Day of Prayer event.

Another global initiative from God's people is now sweeping the whole world, but this time, it's praise: One Million Hours of Praise.

The global community is called to praise Jesus and reach the initial target of one million hours of praise by giving just one hour of praise each week. Already, 309,904.5 hours have been praised. Those who are interested can log their pledges to the website, www.millionhoursofpraise.com.

"It’s not an event, but an encounter with Jesus taken to a global scale. It’s an opportunity for every tribe, nation and culture to unite under the banner of Christ’s love and blitz the earth with praise and worship," stated Catherine Brown in a question and answer dialogue on the website.

Brown received a vision from God in 2003 that called her to begin a movement for praise. The ultimate goal is to have one full year of continuous praise, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Meanwhile, June 25, 2005 will be the "world's biggest praise." Praise worship has been planned in nations such as Ghana, Mali, Liberia, Kenya, Wales, Scotland, England, Ireland, Israel, Berlin, and the Philippines.

Reports of the initiatives' effects have begun to roll in, as those who've pledged praise time, confess to its healing and joy.

"Many times... I saw the healing power of His praise manifest," wrote Keith Harban, one of the people who pledged support for the initiative, in an email. "God is awesome!"
