A career is a blessing and gift from God.

He has given each person a specific job to do.

The Bible outlines four major things the Christian needs to know about work, a job and a career:

  1. God has provided a variety of jobs and careers for the Christian (Ecclesiastes 9:10).
  2. Christian workers are to do their jobs with joyful attitudes and thankful hearts (Ecclesiastes 3:12).
  3. God expects Christians to enjoy their careers and the results of their hard work (Ecclesiastes 3:13).
  4. The Christian career is blessed when God is allowed to work through the Christian to reach others (Proverbs 22:29).

A Christian’s career is part of the unique work that God has called him or her to do. When these careers align with God’s unique work, other people are significantly impacted for eternity. (2 Tim 1:9; 1 Peter 2:9)
