What Were Jesus' Last Words?

. . . Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures . . . 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

If you were not going to see your family and friends for a very long time, what would you say to them? I am sure you would choose your words very carefully. It would be important for them to remember your last instructions.

After Jesus came back to life, He stayed on earth for forty more days (Acts 1:3). Then, it was time for Him to return to Heaven. His family and friends would not see Him for a very long time. What were Jesus' last words to those He loved? "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation" (Mark 16:15).

Jesus' instructions are for you and me as well. Tell others everywhere the good news about the Lord Jesus Christ. He died, taking the punishment for your sin. He came back to life three days later. Now anyone can believe in Him and receive His gift of everlasting life.

Do you know someone who needs to hear about Jesus? Plan a time to tell him or her. Do you know others who are sharing the good news about Jesus? Perhaps you could pray or give money to help them.
