Will Ferrell Thanksgiving Fire: Mysterious Blaze at Family Home (VIDEO)

Will Ferrell has reported there was a Thanksgiving fire at a family member's home that he joined for the festivities this year. The comedian has said that the fire broke out in the garage of the home in Needham, Massachusetts.

The actor and his family were reportedly in the middle of their Thanksgiving Day meal, when one of the children alerted everyone that there was a fire in the garage, according to TMZ.

The family quickly notified the emergency services and a local fire department responded quickly to the scene of the fire. The blaze was extinguished by the fire fighters without any injuries.

Law enforcement sources have told the celebrity news website that there was no major damage to the house, and confirmed that there were no injuries to the family members nor the emergency personnel attending the scene.

The fire fighters were apparently surprised that Will Ferrell was there, and it has been reported that the comedian was very friendly with the fire fighters attending the scene. After the blaze was put out he reportedly posed for photos with the emergency workers, and make jokes with them.

In other Will Ferrell news it has been reported that the star will join other celebrities on stage for a special comedy event which is attempting to raise funds for the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Will Ferrell, Sarah Silverman, Aziz Ansari and Beck will reportedly appear on stage in an event hosted by "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm. Other special guests are set to be announced soon for the event that will take place on Monday Dec. 10, 2012 at Club Nokia, Los Angeles, California.

The fundraiser is titled "We Hate Hurricanes" and is billed to be a night of comedy to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy, which devastated much of the north-east coast a month ago, including massive areas of New York and New Jersey.
