Will Smith Does Not Want Jaden Smith Dating

Jaden Smith, the 14-year-old actor who has been linked to dating reality television star Kylie Jenner, may not date anytime soon according to his father and actor Will Smith.

The father and son acting duo recently appeared on the Thai television show "The Woody Show," where Jaden was questioned about his dating life. However, his father was the first to respond to the question.

"He's 14 he's going to be single for six years," the Smith patriarch said on the Thai television show while promoting their movie "After Earth" recently.

The younger Smith seemed to agree with his father and revealed some advice that he took from the 44-year-old veteran actor.

"One of the best things my dad ever told me was don't have a girlfriend.. be 14 and go watch movies and make movies, listen to music and make music," Jaden revealed on "The Woody Show."

The elder Smith revealed why he gave his son that advice.

"There's foundational ideas about interacting with women that he needs some time to just not have to deal with that," Smith said on the Thai television show.

When asked if Jaden needed permission to date, the elder Smith said he did not.

"Not permission but the nature of our relationship he's definitely going to come to me and have some advice," the patriarch revealed.

The 14-year-old actor who has been romantically linked to 15-year old reality television star Jenner, recently denied that the pair are anything more than platonic friends on the Ryan Seacrest Morning Show.

"I love Kylie and I love Kendall. They're just really good friends … we all just kind of hang out because we live in the same neighborhood and they're really cool girls," Smith said of the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" stars. "I love hanging out with them. They're just friends."
