The "Whip My Hair" singer Willow Smith has shaved her head and posted a picture of herself on Twitter Thursday.

Smith is the daughter of power couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. Many people are saying that the young singer resembles her father on the social media site.

A very active user on Twitter, Smith had just weeks earlier posted a photo of herself with curls, including the caption, "hair."

Usually sporting striking fashions, the star decided to part ways with her famous hair. The love of her hair was apparent in her hit song "Whit My Hair" as the tween sang "Doesn't matter if it's long or short, whip your hair."

The young star's new style has set the internet ablaze with shocked reactions.

Superstar Online posted on their Twitter account, "Instead of whipping her hair back and forth, Willow Smith has whipped her hair ALL OFF!"

"Willow Smith is very DIFFERENT, I find it very COMMENDABLE that she had the courage to go BALD at such a young age," defended Twitter user Jeremiah.

One Twitter user who has not responded to Smith's new style is her friend Justin Bieber. A good friend to the entire Smith family, the pop singer included both Willow and her brother Jaden in his documentary "Never Say Never."

Bieber and the "Whip My Hair" singer embarked on a world tour together last year, and have shared the stage several times in the past. Bieber also appeared in a version of Smith's "Whip My Hair" on YouTube.

Currently, Bieber is staying busy working on a new album entitled "Believe." The singer, who is also active on Twitter, informed his 17 million followers that famous friend Lil Wayne stopped by to visit.

Reports have indicated that "Believe" may see Bieber collaborate with stars such as Drake and Usher, among many other musical stars of today. The album is expected to be released in summer 2012.
