Roy Morgan of the Premier Group, promoters of “Winter Jam” since its inception, anticipates that this year’s jam to be “our most successful presentation yet in every sense of the word” and is marketing the tour accordingly.

Hosting the event will be “Winter Jam” co-founders NewSong, who’ve witnessed the event grow from a single “ticketless concert” experiment in Greenville, S.C., to a tour that has touched thousands of lives.

“This is a mission of like-hearted artists coming together in what we hope will be a life transforming event,” says NewSong member Eddie Carswell. “We’ve had more than one million concert attendees, and we estimate the concert has resulted in more than 35,000 decisions for Christ, and over 20,000 children sponsored through the event for World Vision.”

“We’re implementing our most aggressive promotional plan to date with the ’06 tour,” says Morgan. “In addition to the traditional strategies of print, radio, and telemarketing, we’re adding a sophisticated layer of web-based promotions, including website, target market e-mails, and a well planned strategy of creating a pre-buzz on the internet.”

“The tour has virtually exploded in the number of markets, size of venues, attendance, and the number of major name artists who are now coming to us wanting to be a part of the event,” says Troy VanLier of VanLiere-Wilcox, management firm for NewSong and co-producers of this year’s “Winter Jam.”

“It’s been a tremendous partnership in every sense of the word.”

“Winter Jam ‘06” begins Friday at First Baptist Church Woodstock in Atlanta, Ga. Admission is $10 at the door.
