'Witcher 3' News, Update: No DLC Coming This Week, Major Game Patch Announced Instead
CD Projekt Red recently announced a not-so-great-news that it won't be releasing the expected 16th DLC for its hit RPG game, "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" this week.
The said content is intended to follow the 7th Week DLC titled "Where The Cat and Wolf Play…" which was rolled out in the past week.
According to the report from Gamespot.com, the studio is currently "all hands on deck" as they are working towards the release of the game's upcoming major patch 1.07.
The final DLC, as indicated by the website, is expected to arrive next week with new extra costume for Ciri.
For the meantime, players of the third "The Witcher" installment should be on the lookout for the release of Patch 1.07. The patch is described by the studio in its forum post update, to be "very large" as it is comprised with a huge number of changes including that for the horse behavior and Geralt's movement response. It is also set to introduce several bug fixes as well as an item-stashing system.
The partial notes for Patch 1.07 were meanwhile shared via the game review site and they read as follows:
- A new, alternative (optional) movement response mode for Geralt.
- A player stash for storing items, available in various locations throughout the game. Stash locations are marked on the player's map.
- Crafting and alchemy components no longer add to the overall inventory weight.
- Books are now placed in a dedicated tab in the Inventory and books that have already been read are properly grayed out.
- Multiple sorting options are now available in the Inventory.
- Alchemy formulas and crafting diagrams can be "pinned," meaning all components and ingredients required to make them will be conveniently marked in the Shop panel.
- Dozens of fixes for quest related issues, both major and minor.
- A few performance enhancements, including the optimization of FX, scenes, and general gameplay.
- Various improvements to horse behavior.
