A South Carolina woman had a bowling ball thrown at her head for refusing to allow a suitor to buy her drinks at a local bowling alley, police say.

The incident occurred on Dec. 18, when Omar Sheree Stevenson from Chester, S.C. went berserk at the Strikers Family Sports Center in Rock Hill after a 28-year-old woman refused his offer to buy her a drink.

Stevenson, 31, threw a 12-pound bowling ball at the woman’s head following her refusal and left her at the bowling lanes bleeding from the head.

The victim was sitting on a bench when the 12-pound ball hit her straight in the forehead.

Although the victim did not suffer any major injuries, her skull was visible after having been struck by the bowling ball and she was taken to a local hospital where she received seven stitches to her head.

The woman told police that she had been arguing with Stevenson because she would not let him buy her drinks.

Stevenson left the bowling alley after hitting the woman but was arrested shortly thereafter.

He told police he has lost his temper while arguing with the woman, but regretted taking his anger to such extremes and asked how the victim was doing.
