As of publishing date, Warner Bros. still hasn't commented on the story.

MacLaren is often considered Breaking Bad's prime director. IGN reported said that the female helmer has directed 11 of the show's 62 episodes, "more than any director" of the hit TV series.

"She was eventually made an executive producer on the show and oversaw the editing with Vince Gilligan on the entire final season. The third season episode 'One Minute' in particular brought her to the attention of many fans," the site said.

Aside from the Bryan Cranston-led TV series, MacLaren had also done some directing gig on four episodes of HBO's "Game of Thrones," three episodes of AMC's "The Walking Dead" and various other programs.

As for the movie, there's still no concrete information known about the plot details of "Wonder Woman."

Variety added that it is also unclear if it will be an origin film or just a continuation since the character will be making its appearance in the upcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie, which opens in theaters March 2016.
