'World War Z 2' plot news and release date: First draft of script done

It was revealed that screenwriter Steven Knight has finally released his script for the sequel of "World War Z."

According to Collider, Knight revealed that he has finished the first draft of the script. In addition, he also left teasers about his favorite part of the movie. However, he explained the process in taking up the project. He said, "I think the beauty of the first film was the way that it never paused for breath. It never spent a moment thinking, 'Hang on a minute, we'd better tell the audience what this is all about.' It stayed in the moment, it stayed with that person."

He added that at first he had a hard time developing the sequel because he was unsure of what direction to take and how to efficiently move the story along. Nevertheless, Gerry Lane, played by Brad Pritt, will take another adventure into the world full of zombies. There are speculations that the film could cover lessons learned by the characters of the first movie. The first installment faced several struggles during production. However, it was still able to muster $540 million at the box office, which made it the highest-grossing zombie movie.
