Worship Conference, Festival to Refuel Leaders

Saddleback Church is approaching its fourth annual Purpose Driven Worship Conference + Festival featuring top Christian artists, worship leaders and songwriters who are set to refuel attendants on July 12-15.

"It is our heart's desire for you and your team to come and be saturated -- to leave refueled and refreshed and ready to lead your congregation in worship that is pleasing to God," said Rick Muchow, worship pastor at Saddleback.

The 3-1/2 days will be packed with practical, relevant, and useable ideas from clinicians throughout the country who have tried and tested ways to help people grow as a worship leader, musician and child of God.

Attendants will learn from, experience and interact with such favorite songwriters as Tommy Walker, Mark Hall, Lincoln Brewster, Morris Chapman, and more. The conference + festival will also feature over 70 workshops in 17 different tracks including senior pastor, worship leader, songwriting and arranging, vocal, kids and youth, tech team, media and film, dance, visual arts, and so forth.

Conference speakers are Rick Warren, founding/senior pastor of Saddleback Church and best-selling author of The Purpose Driven Life, Bishop Joseph Garlington, senior pastor of Covenant Church of Pittsburg and worship leader at Promise Keepers, and Francis Chan, pastor of Cornerstone Church and president of Eternity Bible College.

Worship concerts will feature The Newsboys, Tree63, Casting Crowns, and Watermark.

With festival stages and open mic at the Songseeker Cafe, attendants are encouraged to participate by sharing their own gifts and talents. A panel of worship leaders and songwriters also provide participants an opportunity to share their original songs and be selected for the 2005 SongSeeker project. Submissions were accepted and winners have already been selected.
