WWE 2016 Rumors: Triple H Returning at Royal Rumble 2017? King of Kings Might Finally Clash with Seth Rollins
Whenever Triple H steps into the WWE ring, fans know something bad will happen. He had been best as a heel the past few years, being the leader and enforcer of the Authority.
He and his wife, WWE heiress Stephanie McMahon, made babyfaces' lives hell during their run—guys like Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns and now, Seth Rollins. Much like Vince and Shane McMahon did in the 90s, they took the sides of the top heels, in the form of Randy Orton, Batista and Kevin Owens.
Nothing is more frustrating, however, than an angle left up in the air. Triple H had yet to return to television, stalling his anticipated feud with Rollins.

Rumble return?
Hunter's latest tease is a tweet on Royal Rumble 2017. WWE had announced that the Rumble will take place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, where the first Rumble was hosted two decades ago.
In his tweet, Triple H said of the 20th Rumble anniversary: "You never know who will show up." A lot of big returns and debuts happened in in the January pay-per-view over the past years, including that of John Cena, Edge, Chris Jericho and AJ Styles.
That said, this rouses speculations that Triple H might finally make his return at Rumble as well. He did that this year, stealing the WWE Championship from Reigns, only to lose it back to the latter at WrestleMania 32.
He had not shown up on TV since, until the August 29 edition of Raw. He double-crossed Reigns and Rollins in a Fatal 4-Way match for the WWE Universal Championship, handing the belt to new heel Owens.
Feud vs Rollins, Wyatt
Hunter had also hyped his return at the last Raw pay-per-view, Clash of Champions. While his rumored return to interfere in the Rollins vs. Owens title match did not happen, he still showed up post-show, appearing in a segment with Mrs. McMahon-Helmsley.
This prompts rumors that he might be crossing paths with Rollins soon, or even SmackDown superstar Bray Wyatt, who badly needs a push. However, rumor has it that he is being intentionally kept out of WWE programming while the company waits out their ratings slump on both brands.
Nevertheless, the WWE Universe will have to see for themselves the events leading up to Royal Rumble 2017, which takes place on January 29, 2017. Tickets will be available starting October 14, 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. CT through Ticketmaster, per WWE.com.
