However, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions are still set to be released on Oct. 28.

An official statement from Greg Thomas, president of Visual concepts, accompanied the tweet.

"Visual concepts and Yuke's are committed to delivering the most authentic and action-packed WWE experience to date, including release for the very first time on next-generation consoles. The additional development time enables our talented teams to ensure the WWE 2k15 next-gen experience fully meets our expectations," he said.

In other news, 2k15 will feature two very famous rivalries in its 2k showcase—John Cena versus CM Punk, and Triple H versus Shawn Michaels. IGN reports that other famous rivalries will be included in DLCs for the game which will be released in the future.
