'WWE 2K18' News: Mr. McMahon Himself Will Be Included as a Playable Character

Shane and Stephanie McMahon are also featured in the upcoming game's roster

Vincent Kennedy McMahon, who is perhaps better known as Mr. McMahon to wrestling fans all over the world, is the long-time CEO and chairman of the WWE. He is also going to be a featured character in the upcoming game "WWE 2K18."

The WWE announced McMahon's inclusion in the new game over on Twitter, revealing that he will be a part of the already sizable roster.

At first, it may seem odd that the head of the WWE - a man in his 70s - will be featured in a fighting game, but that is just par for the course for the world-famous promoter.

McMahon was an integral part of WWE's onscreen product during the so-called "Attitude Era," as he dueled with the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin and other wrestling industry luminaries.

Back in those days, McMahon was not just the company's head honcho, he was also a regular performer as well, and his appearances onscreen helped the WWE defeat its competitors.

Wrestling fans even got a little bit of a flashback of McMahon as a performer during the latest episode of "SmackDown Live," which featured an encounter between him and Kevin Owens.

Mr. McMahon probably is not going to be one of the better-rated characters featured in "WWE 2K18," but wrestling fans will likely still get a bit of a kick out of creating matches with the chairman of the company involved.

Notably, Vince is not the only member of the McMahon family who will be in the latest "WWE 2K" game.

His son Shane, who has earned the respect of many wrestling fans for his death-defying stunts, is also included as a playable character. Vince's daughter Stephanie will be in the game too, which does not come as much of a surprise considering that she has also been involved in some matches in recent history.

The aforementioned members of the McMahon family as well as numerous other wrestlers will be made accessible to fans as soon as "WWE 2K18" is released on Oct. 17 for the PS4 and Xbox One and sometime during the fall for the Nintendo Switch.
