WWE Latest News: John Cena and FOX team up for new reality show
World Wrestling Entertainment superstar John Cena has teamed up with a major network to produce a reality show.
In a report by the Washington Post, the former WWE champion will be working with FOX as a television host for military-based reality show "American Grit".
Cena also confirmed the report through a tweet he posted.

"Honored to host #AmericanGrit – A new TV series guiding 16 contestants through military & survival-themed challenges. Coming soon to @FOXTV!" Cena wrote.
The show's premise revolves around 16 people who will be divided into four teams. Every week, each team will have to undergo a "military/survalist" challenge. Apart from being the host, Cena will also be leading the team's mentors: Purple Heart receipient Noah Galloway, United States Army sniper Nick Irving, Navy Seals trainer Rorke Denver, and US Marines sergeant Twanda "Tee" Hanible.
The report adds that the said production of the show "could explain" why Cena is currently on an indefinite hiatus with the WWE. For Cena, the highlight of the show would be letting the public now what the soldiers of the United States are going through to prepare themselves for battle.
"The U.S Military is the epitome of resolve and dedication, which is why I am so excited to be a part of American Grit," Cena said in a report by the Hollywood Reporter. "This show will not only be a challenging and fierce competition, but it will give viewers a glimpse into the perseverance and training of the men and women of the Armed Forces."
According to FOX Entertainment president David Madden, the choice of picking John Cena as the face of the show is mainly aligned with the "spirit of the FOX unscripted brand."
"John is not only a phenomenal athlete but a motivational force, who inspires fans around the world, and we are thrilled he is leading the charge," Madden says.
"American Grit" has been set for its premiere for ten episodes in 2016.
