WWE Rumors 2016: Brock Lesnar to Face AJ Styles or Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania?

Goldberg might still be in the equation.

Brock Lesnar is a man who can legitimately beat an opponent to a pulp in a real fight. He had decided to return to WWE after a UFC career that included a title win. Now, he had established himself as the most dominant force in the wrestling ring, with aid from his advocate Paul Heyman.

Lesnar is still the destructive heel he was back in the early 2000s, right after he defeated The Rock for the world title. His size, strength and experience is a perfect ingredient to any dream match, especially for the man who ended The Undertaker's WrestleMania streak.

Speaking of WrestleMania, there is a lot of speculation on who Lesnar would face at the grandest stage of them all next year. Most of his likely opponents are some of the greatest WWE superstars past and present.

Bill Goldberg

Goldberg is still the top Lesnar foe on any hardcore fan's list. WCW's legendary monster faced Lesnar in a disappointing match at WrestleMania XX, but had recently been teasing a rematch vs. the Beast Incarnate.

However, that had been the prospect of Goldberg's return as of press time: a tease. He had been rumored to return at Clash of Champions, but there was no sight of the man that once struck fear into Lesnar's heart.

AJ Styles

Styles is the hottest superstar in the WWE today, with the WWE Universe anticipating his big push since he debuted in January. And they got their wish: Styles is now the WWE Champion.

That said, Lesnar will most probably want the title back, after losing the belt to Seth Rollins despite never getting pinned at WrestleMania 31. If he tries to get it from Styles, it will be a feud for the ages, a David vs. Goliath clash of two experienced wrestlers. While it can happen at WrestleMania 33, WhatCulture predicts it might take place earlier - at Survivor Series.

Bobby Lashley

Lashley is currently in TNA and had been compared a lot to the Beast Incarnate. He was a former ECW Champion and WWE superstar, and, like Lesnar, has MMA experience. He has a PPV fight coming vs. Josh Appelt in October.

The two brawlers could be a dream match for fans and even Lashley acknowledges the fact. On Jim Ross' "The Ross Report" podcast, Lashley is entertaining both the possibility of him fighting Lesnar in the MMA circle or on the WrestleMania ring.
