'X-Men: Apocalypse' News: Shortlist of Actors to Play Teenage Jean Grey and Cyclops Revealed

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is reportedly considering a shortlist of actors who will play the teenaged Jean Grey and Cyclops in the film. Among those who are being eyed to play Jean Grey are Chloe Moretz, Elle Fanning, and Hailee Steinfeld, while Ben Hardy, Charlie Rowe and Timothee Chalamet are under consideration for the role of young Cyclops.

According to Cinemablend, director Bryan Singer first hinted back in April that the latest X-Men movie would be looking to find a pair of young actors to step into the roles originally played by Famke Janssen and James Marsden. It's also said that the film is going to find an actress to play a teenage version of Storm—the character played by Halle Berry.

It's interesting how Singer is aiming high when it comes to his selection process for the casting of Jean Grey as all the actresses mentioned are already quite famous, while it's evident that the director is more open to casting a fresh face as Cyclops. It was reported that Fanning and Moretz have already met Singer to discuss the role, and screen tests have yet to take place.
