'X-Men: Apocalypse' News, Update: Director Bryan Singer Teases On Set Photo of Cerebro

Director Bryan Singer recently went over to his social media to share an update for his upcoming sequel to the popular superhero movie franchise, "X-Me," titled "X-Men: Apocalypse."

The new image features what clearly is Professor Charles Xavier's telepathy enhancing machine, the Cerebro.

"Cerebro is Spanish for brain. #Xmen #XmenApocalypse," Singer's Instagram photo was captioned.

For those who missed it, the director teased that the huge mutant hunting machine will return for Apocalypse. A report from Cinema Blend speculated that the said equipment will be used by James McAvoy's Professor X, which will probably play a "larger role" in the upcoming title.

The movie, which is reported to set a decade after the events of Days of Future Past, will find the Professor establishing the Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. This will definitely go in coherence with the inclusion of the younger X-Men members like Cyclops, who will now be played by Tye Sheridan; Jean Grey by "Game of Thrones" star Sophie Turner; Nightcrawler by Kodi Smith-McPhee; Jubilee by Lana Condor; and Storm by Alexandra Shipp.

"Perhaps there will be a scene where Professor X uses Cerebro to find all of these mutants and recruit them for his school," the site speculated.

With the Cerebro appearing in Apocalypse, this could also mean that McAvoy will have to lose his locks for the 2016 upcoming blockbuster.

In fact Singer shared a month ago a picture of the Scottish actor getting his head shaved. This could actually mean that he will be performing with the metal helmet inside the Cerebro.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is slated to hit the cinemas on May 27, 2016.
